M1A1 Abrams by Paul Renwick Farley
Here is Tamiya's M1 Abrams with mine plough in 1/35 scale. There was a huge amount of extra work in this model, far too much to list here. In summary, however, the bags & sacks were sculpted from various materials such as Sculpey, masking tape, tissue, cloth. Some extras are resin, aluminium foil, photo-etch, wire, medical gauze & many other accessories.
The model was completely hand painted in artist oils over a darker airbrushed base colour. All markings are painted on. This Abrams won 1st prize in the 1999 NSW State Interclub Championships for Large Scale AFV's. Model, Images and Text Copyright © 2001 by Paul
