Heinkel He 162B

I've always had a fascination for the He 162. To me, it looks like the result
of an experiment involving a Harrier and a Bf 110! I was therefore looking
forward to translating its unique look into a digital model.

I purposely avoided heaping detail into my Salamander. Instead I wanted to
concentrate on its overall shape and paint scheme.
I gave it a typical paint job for the type, based on a colour profile I had
seen. I also spent time weathering the finish to a level I was happy with.
Finally, I placed the finished model into a scene depicting a hypothetical
encounter with a B24 Liberator.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the completed mesh and plan to adapt it into
the D variant with forward swept wings and butterfly tail.
