The Fairey Gannet - the ugliest thing in the air! This is the
excellent 1/48 scale vacform kit.
The overall quality of the kit parts is very good although
the white metal components need careful cleaning.

The history of the aircraft can be found on the net. I used
good pictures from
http://www.faasig.org/tech/gannet.htm and
http://www.enygmag.freeserve.co.uk/gannet.htm
The construction of the model is pretty straightforward. Most
of my time was spent cleaning the parts and adding details such
as interior, panel lines and rivets.

The model was built for a friend and, per his requests, I did
not depict the wings folded.
