Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9

Here is Tamiya's 1/48 scale Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 that I finished a few months ago. 

The cockpit has been replaced with a True Details resin cockpit. The wheel wells have been totally rebuilt with some details taken from a CMK resin set but mostly plastic card, wire et cetera.

The markings are a combination of spare decals from the parts box, spray masks and hand painted markings. It is based on an aircraft in the book - "Green Hearts, First in Action with the Dora 9" by Axel Urbanke. This Dora was attached to11./JG 54 (III Gruppe), and flown by Gefr. Walter Merz.
