Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-7
JG1, Rheine, Germany, February 1944 |
Here is my Dragon/DML 1/48 Focke-Wulf Fw
190A-8 backdated to an A-7, using a Hawkeye cockpit tub and True Details wheels.

The 74/75/76 Gray scheme was achieved
using Aeromaster acrylics, and the markings are from EagleCals. I painted the
cowl stripes using Tamiya Flat Black rather than using the decals provided.

After weathering with Winsor & Newton oils
(raw umber + black) plus pastels, the model was sealed using Testors Lacquer
Dull-Cote.

The model represents a Shrike of JG1, based at
Rheine, Germany in Feb./44.
