Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat

Hasegawa's 1/48 scale F6F-3 Hellcat  is available online from Squadron.com

This is the 1/48 scale F6F-3 Hellcat from Hasegawa, detailed and refined.

The interior of the wheel wells are fully scratch build. Control surfaces and flaps are scratch built and modified.  The etched metal framework for the engine compartment and ammunition bay have been replaced with plastic strip. The canopy is from Falcon, and the wheels are from Medallion models.

The subject aircraft was based on the USS Hornet, and was flown by Ens. Wilbur B "Spider" Web.
