F4U-1A Corsair

Tamiya's 1/48 scale F4U-1A Corsair is available online from  Squadron.com

Here is my Tamiya 1/48 F4U-1A Corsair. The kit is built out-of-the-box with some very minor exceptions.

The antenna wire is made of stretched sprue. Seatbelts were added to the pilots' seat. The kit was a pleasure to build (like most Tamiya kits). Very little filler and sanding was necessary.

Paint was airbrushed using Xtracolor enamels. The final dull coat is made with Revell 02. The "chipped paint" is achieved with a single-haired brush and aluminium color. I weathered the plane with my airbrush.

 This canopy framing was painted by hand, although on other recent models I have used EZ-masks.
