Dornier Do 335A-1 by Brian Criner

Here is the Tamiya 1/48 scale Dornier Do 335. This plane has been one of my favorites since I built the Monogram version as a kid.
The kit is built out-of-the-box as that is about all I have time for these days. I won't go into detail about construction as that has already been done in previous reviews. I will say that the kit goes together with few problems save a couple.
The forward fuselage bottom did not want to go together once all the cockpit/nosewheel parts were in place. Also, be careful when attaching the fuselage panel behind the cockpit. It is tough to get perfectly flush and its easy to sand off rivet detail around the border and a pain to put it back in later.
I had so much fun with this that I am presently building the two-seater version with several modifications and aftermarket parts.
Oh well, I guess the back lawn can wait a few more months!
