Messerschmitt Bf 110G-4 by Dave Miller
Here is ProModeler's 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 110G-4 Nightfighter.
In fact, these are two different models. The first is Johnen's C9+EN, the famous ship that was forced down in Switzerland and impounded, then destroyed.
The other is G9+NU.
The latter has FUG 212 radar, the kit-supplied type, but with the thinner members replaced with steel tubes and rod.
Johnen's aircraft has a re-worked radar array, the FUG 220/SN -2b. I used more steel and some airfoil-shaped plastic stock, thanks to Mike Franklin. This ship also has the prop pitch gauges opens and detailed, and the shell ejection chutes opened and lined using card. Otherwise, both are built straight from the box.
Kit decals were applied to NU and Aeromaster on EN. Modelmaster paints were used. The background is the an oil painting, and the base is plywood with static grass.
The only recommendation I'd make in construction is that one considers mating the upper wings to the fuselage before joining them to the lower wing piece.
