This is my 1/48 scale Accurate Miniatures TBF-1C Avenger in the
"Truk Lagoon" boxing.

The model is build out of the box. I only added seat-belts and
antenna wires. The details of this model are outstanding and it was a fun to
build. A real challenge was painting the greenhouse and the turret, so I used EZ-masks
for the first time and (in my eyes) they worked very well.

Another hard part was the insertion of the turret. After glueing
all parts together I started inserting the turret to the fuselage. After a
couple of frustrating minutes I managed it (somehow).

I used Xtracolor for airbrushing the three-tone camouflage
scheme. Weathering was achieved with a black/brown wash. Exhaust and gun stains
were airbrushed.
