Henschel Hs 129B-1 |

Hasegawa's
1/48 scale Hs 129B-2 is available online from
Squadron.com
This is special edition of Hasegawa 1/48
scale Henschel Hs 129B-1 based in North Africa.

It is actually the only box to built proper
B-1 type with early, round, air-intakes on the engine nacelles.
I really wanted to built a machine with the
fancy desert scheme, and this kit allowed me to build it from the box. I
did add some detail to the cockpit area, and I replaced the kit parts
for engine exhausts with the brass tubing.

Pilot's harness is Eduard brass. The
antenna wire is from invisible thread, and I made wing-tip lights from
colored stretched clear sprue.
The instruction called for “Mahogany”
mottles over Sandbraun, which I ignored and used standard RLM sequence:
78/79/80.

Otherwise the model is stock, and it is
indeed a great kit!
