Introduction

Here is my Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-4 in 1/48 scale.

This model was a special release from Dragon with decals for a JG 1 bird with black and white stripes on the cowling.

This kit was built, more or less, straight from the box. The cockpit was closed because I really appreciate the clean lines of this plane.

Added details come down to the undercarriage up/down indicators, antenna made of the stockings nylon, and gun barrels out of syringe needle tubing.

The only problem was the joint of the cowling with the bottom of the wing (this seems to be the common theme in Dragon kits). The cowling itself, although complicated assembly, did not have any fit problems.

Colors are standard German RLM 74/75/76. Decals adhered without a problem, even somewhat difficult black nose stripes.
