Introduction

Here is my 1/48 scale A-26K "Counter Invader". I built this kit about 4-5 years ago.

I used the Monogram/Revell A-26 as the basis for the conversion.

Construction

Apart from rescribing the raised surface detail I used various aftermarket sets. I used the Paragon Designs conversion as well as the parts of the HiTech B-26K conversion plus Paragons flaps and open 8-gun nose.

In my eyes both the Paragon and HiTech Sets are not 100% correct so I mixed them. I replaced the kit wheels by flattened ones from True Details.

Conclusion

Xtracolors were used for the entire model and the decals are from my spares box. The "Mighty Mouse" writing was hand painted on a clear decal sheet and then applied to the model because at the time of building this kit the nice Aeromaster Decal sheet for the "Mighty Mouse" has not yet been released.
