North American P-51D Mustang

Here is Hasegawa's 1/48 scale North American P-51 D Mustang. 

I depicted American Ace Bud Andersson's "Old Crow". I am happy with the result.

The kit is built straight from the box except the interior from True Details and machine guns replaced by micro-tubing. The kit was a pleasure to build. My only criticism is the wheel bay which is not deep enough, but otherwise I think the kit is perfect! 

Decals were been provided from Bud's son Jim and my friend John Greiner, who also kindly supplied some of the markings. The model has been painted with S'n'J and Gunze acrylics, and varnished with Testors Metallizer sealer.
