Bf 109 E/F Wheels

Earlier this year I bought the re-issued Airfix 1/24 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 E kit. On a whim, I posted an unboxing video and it proved to be very popular. Despite its age - more than 50 years old - modellers are stil clearly very interested in building this kit.

BarracudaCast is offering a new set of resin replacement wheels for 1/24 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 E and F kits, completing the quartet of Emil wheels in the major scales following releases in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scales last year.

These new wheels will be suitable for the Airfix or Trumpeter kits, which all feature pretty awful vinyl tyres.

As well as the Bf 109 E and F, these wheels will also be appropriate for the Bf 109 T, and for the Bf 109 G-2 (the one without the bulges on the top of the wings). I'm pretty sure they'll be fine for the early Jumo Bf 109s too - the A to D series. Of course, you're on your own converting kits for some of these variants!

BarracudaCast's new resin wheels are beautifully detailed. Recessed radial tread and raised lettering is especially impressive, and detail throughout is crisp.

The bottom of the tyres are subtly bulged and flattened.

Casting and detail is up to BarracudaCast's usual superlative standards my sample too.

These wheels will be a simple yet highly desirable finishing touches for your 1/24 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 E, F & G-2 projects.
