P-38F Lightning Cockpit
for Tamiya kit
Eduard BRASSIN, 1/48 scale

Eduard has released a multimedia BRASSIN cockpit for Tamiya's excellent 1/48 scale P-38F Lightning.
The kit cockpit is quite respectable, but Eduard's full replacement lifts the detail to another level.
Eduard's BRASSIN 1/48 scale P-38F Lightning cockpit comprises 24 parts in grey resin, one part in clear resin, one colour printed photo-etched fret, one brass photo-etched fret, a small decal sheet and detailed instructions.
The parts are packed into a robust and compact cardboard box that will protect the potentially delicate resin parts.
Casting is perfect and detail is excellent.
The sidewalls are separate and the cockpit floor is cast with the front firewall in place.
Detail is crisp and thorough throughout. The intricate radio equipment will look fantastic painted up and underneath the clear rear canopy part..
The colour photo-etched fret supplies half-tone printed harness straps. They look quite convincing.
Decals are provided for stencil plates, instruments and more.
Instructions are supplied in colour on three folded A4 sheets.
There is a little cleanup and minor scraping and cutting to be done, but I don't anticipate anything very challenging.
This is a worthwhile upgrade for Tamiya's excellent 1/48 scale P-38F Lightning kit that lifts the front office to a whole new level of detail.
Thanks to Eduard for the samples and images.
