FirstLook

Eduard reboxed the very nice Academy 1/48 scale F-4J Phantom II kit with their own resin and photo-etched update parts in 2016.

That "Rockin' Rhino" package kit sold out quickly, but some of the upgrades are still available as separate BRASSIN sets.

One of these is the Exhaust Nozzles.

The set comprises six parts in light grey resin plus a photo-etched fret with four more pieces packed into Eduard's typical blister pack.

Casting is perfect and detail is quite gorgeous. The exhaust petals are thinly moulded and the thin sections in between are actually translucent.

The flame holders are offered on the photo-etched fret.

Casting blocks on the resin parts will best be tackled with a razor saw, but this job should be fast and easy.

Installation will be drop-fit too.

Conclusion

Eduard's BRASSIN Exhaust Nozzles will be a crowning touch for your Academy 1/48 scale F-4J Phantom II.

Thanks to Eduard for the samples and images.
