The Eduard Brassin Bf-109G-6 radio compartment for the Tamiya kit consists of 3 dark grey resin parts, 3 light grey resin parts and a photo-etch sheet of 5 parts. Included is an instruction sheet of 4 pages involving only 7 construction stages which certainly indicates that this is a relatively simple build.
The parts are highly detailed but yet simple to work with as the casting blocks are all on flat and easy to clean up surfaces.
The construction process is laid out in a very logical and clear manner, although the removal of the Tamiya radio compartment door is a tiny drawing in one corner. If this happened to be your first foray into the addition of resin to a kit you may nearly miss this considering it’s a major part of using this set.
Paint call outs are for Gunze Aqueous and Mr Color paints.
The etch parts provide the wiring loom sections as well a couple of painted dials for the radio and the compartment fuselage frame and hatch itself in unpainted etch.
A very neat and simple radio compartment to add to your Tamiya Bf 109G-6. I would highly recommend this set for all modellers. It would be a nice entry level ‘conversion’ for someone wanting to get into more detailing.
Thanks to Eduard for the samples and images.
