Barracuda Studios has released an ambitious and beautifully executed pair of RAF ground crew figures assembling a 3" rocket.

These rockets were used on a variety of RAF fighter/bombers, mostly notably the de Havilland Mosquito and Hawker Typhoon, both of which are available as 1/24 scale kits from Airfix.

The set is made up from 13 parts, which comprise the two figures themselves, the rockets, fins and a pair of mounting clips.

The bodies are broken down into one part each for the legs and torso, with the arms and heads as separate parts and the hands cast onto the rocket body and warhead.

The faces are very detailed and natural.

The fin and the two mounting clips are separate parts.

Casting quality is perfect and sculpting is beautifully done. Check out the fine creases on the overalls behind the knees of the standing figure - amazing attention to detail.

Cleanup and assembly will be straightforward.

A small decal sheet is also included for the warhead stencils.

These are well printed and fully legible.
