Conclusions: |
With these cowlings you can build any version of the G-6, either the Erla or MTT/WNF machines. Casting is flawless, as is the fit. Again you are kind of limited to having the cowlings closed but that is hardly an issue. |

The Zvezda Bf-109G-6 is a great kit but it is missing some things to do all the G-6/14 airframes. Namely you only receive the cowlings to do a basic G-6.
Both sets are packaged in a ziplock bag with a paper product tag stapled to the top, this set is molded in light grey resin with no instructions. No instructions are needed actually. The components are drop in replacements for the kit parts.
The Erla set allows the modeler to build the G-6 built by Erla or a G-5/14 with the additional bulged right cowling.
There are five pieces in each set. Two forward cowlings, two of the Buele bulges and one intake. Everything is crisply executed and the casting is flawless. Just remove the parts from the pour block and add to your model.
If there is a downside to this set it is that there is no framework on the inside of the cowlings should you want to display the engine cowlings open. So you are relegated to having the cowling closed.
With these cowlings you can build any version of the G-6, either the Erla or MTT/WNF machines. Casting is flawless, as is the fit. Again you are kind of limited to having the cowlings closed but that is hardly an issue.
