LooK Instrument Panels
Roundup #1
Eduard LooK, 1/32 scale

Eduard's LooK Instrument Panels are available online from Squadron.com
Always a great innovator in our hobby, Eduard has now released a new range of instrument panels titled "LooK".
These are cast in black resin with colour printed dials, bezels, switches, knobs and more. Printing on my samples is in perfect register and although the dials aren't actually readable, they are mighty convincing!
The lenses of the instruments are finished in a glassy, glossy finish too.
In the case of multi-part panels, the minor parts are located positively in recessed or with the aid of locating circles.
Each set is specifically designed for a particular kit and, in the case of Tamiya's Mustangs, even for different sub-variants.
As a nice bonus, each set also includes the appropriate Eduard STEEL harness straps. These are more flexible than the standard Eduard photo-etched straps, and they also feature subtle half tones.
Here are the six initial 1/32 scale sets that I have received for review:
634001 - P-51D-5 LooK for Revell Kit
634002 - F4U-1 LooK for Tamiya Kit
634003 - P-51D-5 LooK for Tamiya Kit
634004 - P-51D LooK for Tamiya Kit
634005 - Spitfire Mk.IX Early LooK for Tamiya Kit
634007 - Fw 190 A-5 LooK for Hasegawa Kit
Eduard has once again boldly gone where no-one has gone before with their new LooK series.
Detail is excellent - they just look real!
The inclusion of the flexible STEEL harness straps is a nice bonus, and for many 1/32 scale kits - especially Tamiya's - these will be the only accessories your cockpit will need.
I am looking forward to using these in a project soon. Maybe a very subtle dry-brush and wash - we'll see...
Thanks to Eduard for the samples.
