Iliad Design of Canada has released a decal sheet for those wanting a slightly different 1/48 scale P-47 Thunderbolt.

 

 

Three post-war marking options are offered, all in overall bare metal with an Olive Drab anti-glare panel:

  • P-47N, Puerto Rico Air National Guard, 198th Fighter Squadron, 1947.

  • P-47N, Hawaii National Guard, 199th Fighter Squadron, 1947.

  • P-47D Maryland National Guard, 1946.

Instructions are offered over a folded A4 sheet in full colour, with one side plus upper and lower views plus detailed notes on the application of the decals overfeatures such as the undercarriage doors and the intercooler outlets.

Decals are printed perfectly on my sample, and colours look good.

These are three interesting and rarely seen subject for your 1/48 scale post-war P-47D or P-47N Thunderbolts.
