DKdecals already has a large and growing range of 1/72 and 1/48 scale decals with a focus on aircraft in Commonwealth service.

DKdecals has now expanded their range to include 1/32 scale decals.

Set No. 32003, P-40E Warhawk and Kittyhawk Mk.I, offers nine marking options for one RAAF Kittyhawk Mk.I in North Africa, plus eight Darwin (Northern Territory, Australia) based P-40E in RAAF and USAAF service during the dark days on 1942.

Subjects are as follows:

  • Kittyhawk Mk.I, AK961, F/Sgt Lloyd Boardman, No.3 Sq. RAAF, North Africa 1942

  • P-40E, 2nd Lt Robert "Mac" McMahon, 33rd PS (Prov.), Darwin 1942

  • P-40E, Capt B.S. Irvin, 9th FS, 49th FG, Darwin 1942

  • P-40E, ET600, Lt A.J. Reynolds, 9th FS, 49th FG, Darwin 1942

  • P-40E, Lt. Bob Vaught, 9th FS, 49th FG, Darwin 1942

  • P-40E, Capt. George E. Kiser, 8th FS, 49th FG, Darwin 1942

  • P-40E, Capt. Charles C. Johnson, 8th FS, 49th FG, Darwin 1942

  • P-40E, Lt. George Preddy, 9th FS, 49th FG, Darwin 1942

  • P-40E, A29-78, F/O C.W. Lindeman, No.76 Sq. RAAF, New Guinea 1942

There are some large fuselage artworks and even a shark mouth amongst these options.

Instructions are printed on a double-sided A4 sheet folded into three. colour left views are supplied for all aircraft, plus right nose and upper views where required.

USAAF, RAAF and RAF national markings are included. Colour callouts are suggested from the Humbrol and Agama ranges.

The decals themselves are supplied on three narrow sheets, so they fit into a relatively compact plastic bag. Colour and registration is very good on my sample.

There is no mention of who printed these, but the decals are glossy and saturation looks good, even for the tricky yellows and whites.
