Eduard Brassin’s 1/72 scale Storm Shadow missiles are available online from Squadron.com

The detail set reviewed here is intended for the Revell SAAB JAS-39D kit.

Eduard is a brand name synonymous with superb quality, and this is certainly the case with the set reviewed here, from the packaging and instructions, to the actual components.

The PE frets come packed with a two large card stiffeners that sandwich the printed instructions between them in a resealable cellophane bag. The instructions are also downloadable in as a PDF from Eduard’s website, to view these please click here (which is fortunate, as for the first time in hundreds of Eduard reviews, my sample was missing pages 5&6).

This set is really quite comprehensive, with quite a lot of pre-coloured cockpit detail, with extra plain details for the canopy, undercarriage, wheel-wells, turbine, air brakes, weapons pylons, and refuelling probe, plus a pair of air intake covers is included too.

The gallery images are from Eduard’s website and illustrate the set applied to an overall black painted example of the Revell JAS-39D. Please note that the coloured PE items are in their plain form (presumably, the photos are of a pre-production set).

This excellent quality detail set should enhance the Revell JAS-39D considerably; I highly recommended it.
