The sheet examined here provides four C-47 options covering the famous Berlin Airlift.
The options provided area pleasing mix of two patched up and faded aircraft and much two ‘more presentable’ options in natural metal.
The subjects are:
-
“The Frassberg Flyer”, 315208, with faded markings indicating it was formerly with the 79th Troop Carrier Squadron;
-
315672 / 52, with fin striping suggesting it was formerly with the 27th Air Transport Group;
-
293708 of the European Air transport service; and
-
G-AGIZ of BOAC.
The decals are supplied in Iliad Design’s usual zip-lock plastic bag.
The instructions are nicely produced in colour and clearly indicate markings placement. Useful notes regarding each subject advise colours and marking information. The decals look to be superbly printed with excellent colour density.
