FirstLook

This F4U seat set comes in a zip-lock plastic bag with card header. Inside is a folded card baking with colour printed instructions and another small bag containing the PE and vinyl parts.

The seat is a single-piece item requiring several folds to construct. The instructions are very helpful in this regard by providing sequential folds with the degree of bend required.

The seat belts are made from pre-cut and pre-coloured vinyl that peels off their backing sheet. Included are two leather backing patches to sit under the lap-belt buckles. I am not sure about the belt colour’s accuracy, but this can be painted to individual preference and dry-brushed etc. The various buckles are provided as individual PE parts.
The instructions do not mention the need, but I would be inclined to anchor the buckles and belts with CA or PVA glue rather than trust to the longevity of the vinyl’s adhesive backing.

The components all appear to be of good quality. Although potentially bit fiddly to assemble, a good looking seat with belts should result with care.

Conclusion

This is a good seat and seatbelt set that should serve to enhance the appearance of any Corsair cockpit, I am happy to recommend it.
