FirstLook

Brengun has a growing range of modern USN carrier deck equipment and accessories in the popular aircraft scales. This set of wheel chocks is at the simpler end of the scale, but an essential piece of equipment nonetheless; and a perfect complement to modern US carrier deck dioramas and vignettes.

The set comes in a small cellophane bag stapled to a card header along with instructions and a black backing paper.

The clear instructions provide a parts map and assembly drawings, but no colour call-outs; which is unusual for Brengun. A quick Google should remedy this absence of information.

The few resin parts are all good quality and assembly is very straightforward.

I have used two images from Brengun’s website that are a fair and accurate representation of the parts. However, they include an assembled wheel chock along with the unassembled pair, and one includes an aircraft wheel. In each case the completed wheel chock is additional for illustrative purposes, as the set has sufficient parts for just two complete chocks.

Conclusion

This good quality set provides a simple but essential detail accessory for modern USN Carrier deck dioramas and vignettes. I am happy to recommend it.

Thanks to Brengun for the review sample.
