This recent publication has been producted by Hussar Productions in cooperation with AJ-Press. It is presented in A4 size format and contains 75 pages of exceptional detail.
The text is supplied entirely in English whereas some of their earlier publications contained both English and Polish.
The quality of paper, photographs and printing is excellent. The publication contains many photographs with quite a few being printed in colour. The period covered by the book is dedicated to the 56th Fighter Group flying P-47D Razorback Thunderbolts operating in the European Theatre of Operation.
There are some excellent in theatre operational photographs of the P-47D Razorback aircraft along with many photographs of the pilots and crews.
Included are 27 colour side profiles displaying many different schemes worn by the various pilot’s aircraft with seven being supplied as decals on a large sheet containing 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32. The decals have been crisply printed onto a very thin carrier film.
Some of the schemes supplied as decals include:
-
P-47D-2-RE 42-7975 UN-I El Flown by Lt Raymond D Petty of El Passo Tx.
-
P-47D-2-RE 42-75410 HV-Mbar “Ole Cock” Flown by Lt Donavon F Smith of Niles M.
