Eduard's 1/48 scale MiG-21PF Ejection Seat is available online from Squadron.com

Background

The UB-16 is a Russian built rocket launcher designed to carry 16 S-5 rockets. It is designed to be carried by the MiG-21, SU-7 and Mi-8 helicopter. The launcher has been developed into smaller and larger variants.

FirstLook

Arriving in Eduard’s standard clear plastic packaging and cast in their standard two tone grey, two sets of the UB-16 rocket launcher are supplied.

Each launcher comprises of the launcher body, exhaust barrel and a photo etch piece for the rear of the rocket tubes. The casting plugs will be easy to remove and clean up.

A decal sheet for the stencils is also included.

As the rockets in the outer ring of tubes are visible when loaded, Eduard have done a great job in moulding the tips to a sharp point. The mounting lugs are also moulded to the launcher body.

Conclusion

Another simple enhancement set has been delivered by Eduard. With its simple construction and painting this will fly together. It should look great on any of the above mentioned subjects. Recommended.

Recommended.

Thanks to Eduard for the samples and images.
