This another great release from Antarki who continue to provide some excellent decal selections, especially for Peruvian Air Force MiG-29s. Because of their love for Peruvian aircraft Antarki also provde a complete set of airframe stencils for some of the options including a very comprehensive set for the Peruvian aircraft, with 213 stencils all up,  you will certainly be kept very busy.

I do like when companies are innovative, in an effort to reduce and provide you with 24 pages of detailed instructions, Antarki have hosted their instructions online. Using the QR code or web address provided with the decals, you will end up at their Facebook page. This is a great idea as each option is a minimum of three very detailed pages covering all four views when required; the only drawback is that the JPEG file are not of a very high resolution. My only suggestion would be if they used hi resolution scans and PDF’ed the image so that the screen resolution was higher. What they have posted is very useable, but could be crisper.

The decals are vibrant and accurate in their colours with a correction sheet provided to correct some colour errors. The decals are in register and have minimal carrier film. This sheet is designed for the Great Wall MiG-29 kit. Painting guide covers FS, Vallejo Model Air, Humbrol and Testers Model Master including mixes to get the correct colours.

Your options are:

  • MiG-29 (9-13) SE Peruvian Air Force- 6th Air Group- Chiclayo 1998

  • MiG-29 BM Belorussion Air Force- 61st IAP – Baranovichi 2006

  • MiG-29 BM Russian Air Force Zhukovskiy Air Base MAKS 2005 (again as per my previous review the Russian star is in six positions however, there are only four stars on the decal sheet.)

  • MiG-29 (9-13) S Algerian Air Force- 3rd Air Defence Wing Bou Sfer AB 1999

  • MiG-29 (9-13) S Ukranian Air Force – 642nd IAP -  Martynovka

  • MiG-29 (9-13) S Peruvian Air Force- 6th Air Group- Chiclayo 1998 (four tail numbers provided)

Conclusion

Antarki cater predominantly to the Peruvian military enthusiast, and it is always nice to see decals that are from outside the FSU for our MiG aircraft, as well as decals Antarki also produce resin fixed refuelling probe. Check out their Facebook page for more information.

Highly Recommended.

Thanks to Antarki for the sample.
