Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-4

Eduard's 1/32 scale Bf 109 E-4 is available online from Squadron.com

Description

This is my latest model and the first one of this year. Usually I don´t build things in this scale but this kit really turned my attention on so I got it last Black Friday. When you open the box you get some pretty good and fine details that will surely be handy to obtain a very good looking model.

Still despite the fact it comes with very nice features it is a rather dificult kit to build. You need to have some experience in the hobby if you want to obtain a good result, some pieces need lots of filling and sanding and dry-fitting. And what really grinded my gears was the fact that the main landing gear comes a little bit too long and the position is unnatural compared to the real plane so some mods were made to achieve the correct stance.

I painted it using Model Master enamels with some post-shading. I did some interior scratch work like, you can see the building process in this link right from the start.

I´m very pleased with the outcome of this kit. My next project is going to be the weekend edition E-1 version in 1/48th scale, we´ll see how it turns out.
