Advantages:

Price discounts, unique sale items available only to club members.

Disadvantages:

Be patient during the next release, the Eduard Server will get a lot of traffic. I spent about 45min trying when the BFC001 launched. If you miss out on the 01Mar13 release of membership you will have to wait for the next membership offer.

Recommendation:

I will declare my conflict of interest, as I am a BFC member. As any financial adviser will tell you, “It’s up to you. The BFC suits me, only you can make the decision if a BFC membership suits you.”

This review is a little different to normal reviews in that I am going to review a club rather than a product. Now you might say “not another frequent flyer/loyal customer program".

Nevertheless, I could hazard a guess that if you were to open your wallet/purse there would be at least a Loyalty card for a department store or your favourite coffee shop. We all like to get a discount or the occasional reward for being a loyal customer. This is exactly what the Bunny Fighter Club (BFC) is.

 

 

The advantages of the BFC are:

Membership Benefits

  • % Permanent Club discount at Eduard Store – you will receive permanent 15% discount on all Eduard products and also discount on various other non-Eduard products. Fixed, permanent, forever!

  • Unique valuable Club kits and accessories – you will gain access to unique and nowhere else to be sold products, specially made for BFC members.

  • Even better prices at Eduard events stand – do you know that Eduard usually has huge discounts on their products at fairs and events all over the world? BFC members will have even higher discount at these events.

  • Loyalty price bonuses – for each purchase of products at Eduard Store, you will be able to collect additional loyalty discount on each of your order. Accumulate even more discounts!

  • Club T-shirt – you will receive fancy BFC T-shirt with unique design and special barcode (used for event discounts). This exclusive T-shirt will be only available to the founding members of BFC.

  • Free entry fee on E-day – you will not have to pay a penny to visit Eduard’s E-day. That means lot of fun at E-day for two days and entry kit, absolutely free!

Given that I am an Australian living down under (on the other side of the world), the Eduard stand discounts and entry to E-day  certainly did not get my attention, I guess it was the unique qualities in the BFC001 MiG 21 release as the multi coloured MiG-21 reminded me of another manufacturer from my youth. The really big drawcards are the 15% price reduction, which will go a long way to offsetting the postage costs to Australia, and like most, the offer that there will be member only releases.

Australians love having a go, there is a saying” you have to be in it to win it” this is the other reason why I became a member. As any financial adviser will tell you “read the product disclosure statement” to see if the product is right for you.

The membership is activated by purchasing a limited release kit, the first launch was on 20 Nov 12. You can become a member by buying the next activation product, which will be available directly at Eduard Store on1st March 2013.

 

 

During the first launch there were difficulties accessing the website due to the huge amount of interest. From the Eduard Blog

Bunny Fighter Club has been launched! But we all know already, how it went… Yesterday, during evening hours, our server was finally able to manage the amount of traffic which was streaming to Eduard websites, most likely because of the BFC launch. The official launch time was set on 20:13 (GMT+1), however many of you already know that the practical launch was far away from this moment.

For those lucky 1000 current members Eduard has the following information on their website:

Starting from January 2013, we will release at least one Club kit or accessory each month. These products will be exclusive for BFC members, so don’t try to look for them in your local store on other online shops. Announced products for first four months in 2013 are:

January 2013: Photo-etched color USN carrier deck in 1/72 (approx. size 22 x 26 cm )

February 2013: F6F-5K Hellcat 1/72 6 colorful marking options, PE details and painting mask. 

March 2013: Bf 110C-6 1/48

April 2013: Fokker Dr.I STRIPDOWN 1/72

 


 

Conclusion

 

Eduard’s Bunny Fighter Club brings many advantages and special members’ only products being available. Before committing make sure you read the BFC terms on the website. If this is for you, then be ready to go on the 01Mar13, be patient and you will enjoy the benefits of being a Bunny fighter Club member.
