Eduard's 1/72 scale B-24D Liberator Limited Edition is available online from Squadron

Here is my 1/72 scale B-24D Liberator "Mission Centenarians" from the Eduard kit.

There is lot of modeling stuff to find in this “limited edition” from Eduard: the plastic molds seem to be from the Academy kit, the gorgeous bunch of etched parts for the interior and the exterior are from Eduard, it´s the same with the masking sheet for the clear parts.

The plastic parts looked a little bit dated and the fit can be described as mediocre - at the best. The four wing parts have been seriously warped - as often seen by long wingspan models, but it was no problem to correct them over hot steam.

I used the excellent kit decals after having chipped the surface with the liquid masking solution- technique.

My model shows one of five “mission centenarians“ offered by this Eduard edition. As shown here, “Moby Dick” has been flown by the 90th BG, 320th BS in the Southwest Pacific early in 1943. Later, having survived over 100 combat missions, it was sent on a War Bond Tour back in the States before being modified to a TB-24D transport.

The only modification I had to make has been flattening the tires- and, not to forget, I opened the cockpits side windows to make the etched part-effort visible.
