World Airfix Group Build Part Two

Description

In Part One of this short series, we showed the build of the Airfix Lockheed Hudson by a team of enthusiasts on the Airfix Group Build during 2009. The World Airfix Group Build aimed to bring us all closer together by sending one kit around the world and presenting it to Airfix at Scale Modelworld 2009.

The Group Build quickly expanded to include a diorama base featuring tarmac, support vehicles, figures and even a super set of wheel chocks.

In this installment, we show how all these were completed and the final model assembled and presented to Darrell Burge and Trevor Snowden of Airfix.
