Platz has produced a fine quality decal sheet depicting markings for the Mitsubishi F-2A fighter aircraft of the Japanese Defence Force in 1/72 scale.

The decals are superbly printed by Cartograph of Italy. They have good colour saturation and are in perfect register.  The carrier film is ultra thin.

The detail in the data decals is finely printed and is easily readable. 

The instruction sheet is printed in colour and gives good indication for decal placement.

The scheme provided on this sheet is as follows:

  1. Mitsubishi F-2A of the 3rd Sqn of the 3rd AW.   The aircraft is finished in the scheme of FS 35042 Sea Blue and FS 35164 Intermediate Blue upper surfaces and FS 35164 Intermediate Blue lower surfaces with a FS 36231 Lusterless Grey radome.  The aircraft has a yellow outlined pattern over the entire upper surfaces.

This is only the second decal sheet that I have seen from Platz. They have both been impressive, and will represent a colourful and interesting upgrade to Hasegawa's kits.
