Aires has released four new accessories for Hobby Boss' 1/48 scale F/A-18A Hornet kit.

Aires 4371 - F/A-18A Hornet Cockpit Set

16 parts are provided in Aires' familiar grey resin, plus one parts in clear and a photo-etched fret.

Detail is excellent. The cockpit tub, instrument cluster and Hell Hole are all impressive with their cast-on switches, dials and plumbing.

Casting quality is flawless.

A photo-etched fret adds even more fine detail to the cockpit.

Although this is a fairly straightforward detail set, some experience will be helpful in preparing the parts.

Aires' 1/48 scale F/A-18A cockpit is a noticeably better detailed front office for Hobby Boss' single-seat Hornet, and will be a welcome enhancement.

Aires 4368 - F/A-18 Hornet Electronic Bay

Twenty parts in grey resin plus a photo-etched fret make up this set. Detail is just gorgeous.

This upgrade will be suitable for Hobby Boss' 1/48 scale F/A-18A, C and D kits.

Note that some surgery to kit parts will be required, and experience will be helpful before tackling this upgrade.

Aires 4369 - F/A-18 Hornet Radar Antenna

A complete Radar Antenna and mount is provided in four resin parts plus one small photo-etched fret. This upgrade will be suitable for Hobby Boss' 1/48 scale F/A-18A, C and D kits.

Some experience will be helpful for modellers planning this upgrade.

Aires 4383 - F/A-18A Exhaust Nozzles - Closed

This is a simple replacement for Hobby Boss' kit exhaust parts comprising six parts in grey resin and one small photo-etched fret.

Detail is delicately done, with two closed nozzles capping the end of the exhaust pipes.
