Airfix's 1/48 scale BAe Hawk 100 Series is available online from Squadron.com

Airfix has released a beautiful  decal variant in their 1/48 scale Hawk 100 kit with the Australian Special Markings from 76. Sqd. It was obvious to me that I should build this version.

I do not need to explain much about this very simple build, but I will say that it was straightforward and a pleasure to work on.

Extra details were added to many nooks and crannies of  my Hawk. A helpful source was an old Replic Magazine No. 176 , and some web sources like here on HyperScale.

I know that the flare dispenser was not installed on the original jet, but I preferred to use them on my kit because it looked busier.

The Airfix decals in this kit can be absolutely recommended. They are smooth, but a little fragile.
