On the way to Africa, with a stopover in Bad Wörishofen in the late afternoon!
My inspiration was a well-known photograph of the tiger-striped “Black/Red 3” somewhere in North Africa. I have not shown the photo to avoid violating copyright, but the image provides great details for the modeler.
This is the 1/32 scale Hasegawa Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-4/Trop.
Detail sets from Verlinden were used for the gear legs, harness straps, and cooler faces,
Evergreen plastic profiles, various widths of wire, solder, syringe needles and a lot of filler was also used.
The plastic surface was polished before scribing with new engraved panel lines. The rudder was separated and deflected.
For painting and weathering I used Gunze, Revell, Alclad and oil paints.
