Tonight we examine three recent releases from Griffom Model
Accessories from the Czech Republic. All three are quite simple sets
that will offer improved detail to their respective kits, but should be
within the capabilities of most modellers.
The three releases are:
GRF48046 - Hurricane Wheels
This is a nice set with five parts in pale coloured resin. The two
slick main wheels are subtly bulged and flattened. The sets also
includes the tail wheel and two different styles of tail wheel strut -
one with oleo scissor and one without. Casting quality is very good but
there is one bubble visible just below the surface of one of the tyres.
This should be easily and adequately covered by paint.
The image of this set may be seen at the top of the page.
GRF48046 - Wellington Wheels
These resin wheels will replace the sometimes troublesome vinyl tyres
in the Trumpeter Wellington kit. They are subtly bulged and flattened,
and feature smooth tread.
GRF48059 - Yak-3 Interior
This is a simple set to address the two biggest features in the Yak-3
cockpit - the instrument panel and the harness. A printed acetate sheet
supplements the small photo-etched fret.
All Recommended.
