Description

Here is a large-scale Vosper RAF Rescue Luanch built by my father, Bernard Swan, who will turn 82 in June.

He served in the RAAF as a radar operator at Bougainville during 1945.

He built the boat from a plan. The most interesting point concerns the hull which is thick cardboard with numerous coats of paint and varnish. I painted the deck and superstructure using Tamiya spray cans.

The big model is powered by an electric motor with 2-channel radio control.

I hope this is of some interest.
