Hobby Boss 1/48 scale conversion

HobbyBoss's 1/48 scale Mirage IIIC is available online from Squadron.com

This is the 1/48 Hobby Boss Mirage IIIC converted into Mirage IIIO or IIIE standard.

The conversion consisted of the following:

• Lengthening the fuselage by adding a plug behind the cockpit;

• Re-positioning the nose wheel well;

• Shortening the rear fuselage and the addition of the afterburner engine exhaust;

• Addition of the underside fuselage fairing (fuel tank) at the rear of the fuselage;

• Modifying the tail;

• Replacing the centre-line pylon;

The model was finished with paints from the Testor Model Master Metallizer range.

Decals were from several sources, including the Flying High RAAF Mirage Set 9.
